The Fighting Illini are back on the practice field as the second year of the Lovie Smith era gets underway. The first three weeks of the training camp are open to the public and free to attend.
Most practices will be held on the Campus Recreation Fields bordered by Florida Ave. and Goodwin Ave. in Urbana, just blocks from Memorial Stadium. Free parking will be available in campus lot F23 just south of the Florida Avenue Residence Hall.
Orange and Blue News will have daily, comprehensive coverage of training camp, with all content posted to this landing page.
Illinois opens the 2017 season at home on Sept. 2 vs. Ball State. The Illini are coming off of a 3-9 record in Lovie Smith's first season in Champaign last fall.
