His latest offer is from Illinois after an Illini coach stopped by his school on Wednesday.

Illinois defensive line coach Mike Phair was in at West Aurora High School on Wednesday to check on Warren. The Illini offered soon after.

Expect Warren to make a trip down to Champaign soon to check out the Illinois program in person.

"He loves my film and would love for me to be at the University of Illinois," Warren said. " Also, they want me to come up to campus as soon as possible. They're letting my coach know when its a good time to come down."

Warren is getting early looks from Power 5 programs. He currently holds offers from Illinois, Michigan State, Syracuse, and Iowa State and has interest from Notre Dame, Penn State, and Ole Miss.

The Illinois offer was a welcome one for Warren. He has followed the program closely growing up.

"I've always watched their football games and its always been a dream school," he said. "I haven't been able to be on campus yet, but that's definitely coming real soon."

Illinois hasn't been winning on the field, but head coach Lovie Smith is a big draw for Warren. He and his family are familiar with Smith from his time as head coach of the Chicago Bears.

"I know a lot about Lovie Smith," Warren said. "He's a great head coach and an amazing person. He helps kids reach their goals. I haven't got to meet him in person yet, but he's a person I would love to meet and be around."

Warren was a two-way player for West Aurora, lining up at tight end on offense. He posted 49 total tackles and 6 sacks this past season. His sophomore film shows a powerfully-built interior defensive lineman who has an impressive, quick burst to the football.

"For it being my first full year of varsity football I think it went pretty well," Warren said. "Next year is going to be a lot better."
