Lunt ready to lead Illini as 2016 season kicks off
The Lovie Smith Era begins as the Fighting Illini open their 127th season of football Saturday when Murray State comes to Memorial Stadium for a 2:42 p.m. kickoff.
Senior quarterback Wes Lunt begins his third and final season as an Illini. Lunt enters the season 10th on the school's all time passing list.
