Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons quarterback Nik Scalzo received an offer from Illinois back in May, adding to offers from Yale and Leigh.

The Illini have been a team at the top of the list for the 5-foot-11, 180-pound three-star prospect, and nothing has changed in that regard over the past few months.

“I'm talking to a couple more schools than I did a few months ago, but nothing has really changed too dramatically,” Scalzo said. “The Illini are one of my favorites as of right now out of all the teams, though.”
