The Illini currently have one commitment in the class of 2021 in three-star quarterback Samari Collier from Desoto (Texas).

It's certainly going to be tough for Illinois to compete for Ford. He's working from a 32-team offer list that includes the likes of Alabama, Florida State, :LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and many more. Still, the Illini were able to get Ford on campus for an unofficial visit, so he remains at the top of the Block I Report for now. Ford had a breaout performance at the Rivals 3-Stripe Camp last summer, and he has climbed to No. 222 in the class of 2021. Illinois hopes to get him back on campus for another visit this spring.
