Class of 2020 offensive tackle Jalen St. John was among the double-digit St. Louis Trinity Catholic players in attendance on Saturday as Illinois faced off against Rutgers at Memorial Stadium.

The 6-foot-3, 305-pound lineman had yet to watch an Illinois game in-person, so he was eager for the experience.

“I know it’s going to be hard-hitting, enthusiastic, and a just great feeling to watch,” St. John said before the game. “I am just hoping to see how Illinois works with their linemen, and hopefully I can learn some things.”
