MEQUON Wis. – For the past several seasons, Illini basketball fans have lamented the lack of athleticism in orange and blue. They have watched with envy as high flying athletes and acrobatic finishers seem to be everywhere on opposing rosters.

Khalil Whitney is that type of player. And the Illini are in the thick of the race for the 6-foot-7 athletic wing, who is ranked the No. 82 player in 2019.
