Midlothian (Texas) Heritage wide-receiver Langston Anderson made the lengthy trek up to Champaign to partake in an Illinois Junior Day on Saturday.
The trip was well worth it for the 6-foot-2, 186-pound three-star prospect, who left town with an offer from the Illini staff.
“I loved getting that offer, and it’s one of my top choices of the places that have offered,” Anderson said. “We watched film to see what they do with the receivers, and then I got talk with Coach (Rod) Smith about the future plans. He also talked about the future facilities and the future teams they’re going to have, and he told me he wanted me to be a part of it and that I have the ability to help turn the program around.”
