Ricky Smalling, WR, Chicago Brother Rice (2-0). Brother Rice 61 Marist 44. Smalling had just two catches for 36 yards but the Crusaders rode a 35-point first quarter to the win over Crete. Next game: Friday, Sept. 9 @ Aurora Christian.
Larry Boyd, OL, St Louis Trinity Catholic (3-0). Trinity 47 Cardinal Ritter 13. Trinity improves to 3-0 on the season and is ranked the No. 5 small school by the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Junior running back Darries Rainey rushed for 145 yards on seven carries and a touchdown. Next game: Friday, Sept. 9 @ O’Fallon (MO) Living World Christian.

Marc Mondesir, LB, Chicago St. Rita (1-1). St. St Rita 56 Olympia Fields (Ill) Rich Central 19. Mondesir recorded 4 tackles and 1 tackle for loss in the win. He also forced a fumble and returned it for a TD. St. Rita running back Shaun Rule rushed for 242 yards and two TD’s. Next game: Friday, Sept. 9 vs. Providence Catholic.
Kendall Smith, ATH, Bolingbrook (Ill.) (1-1). Bolinbrook 20 Bishop McNamara 14 (OT) . Next game: Friday, Sept. 9 @ Stagg.
Cameron Thomas, QB, Chicago Height Marian Catholic (1-1). Yorkville 54 Marian Catholic 7. Thomas had 68 yards passing and 26 yards rushing in the loss. Yorkville scored on its first five possessions of the game. Next game: Friday, Sept. 9 @ St. Viator.
Vederian Lowe, OL, Rockford (Ill.) Auburn (1-1). Boylan 14 Aurburn 7. Turnovers plagued Auburn, as they were upset by Boylan. Auburn was still able to churn out 220 yards on the ground behind Lowe. Next game: Friday, Sept. 9 @ Belvidere North.
Carmoni Green, WR, Miami Central (2-0). Miami Central 55 Miami Killian 0. Central scored 30 points in the first quarter in the route. DE Owen Carney had two first half sacks. Central emptied their bench in the second half. Green had a 55-yard kickoff return. Next game: Saturday, Sept. 10 @ Jacksonville (Fla.) First Coast.
