Chicago linebacker plans Illini visit

Chicago Mt. Carmel outside linebacker Terrance Taylor has offers from Toledo and Central Michigan and interest from a lot of other schools -- including Illinois.

"Recruiting is going great,” Taylor said. “I've been hearing from a lot of schools and I'm going to go visit Miami (Ohio) this weekend."

One school that Taylor, 6-4, 210-pounds, has on his radar to visit is Illinois.

"I will be visiting Illinois for spring practice,” Taylor said. "Illinois is definitely a top pick for me,"

There are several things that Taylor is excited about with getting going taking college visits.

"One thing I'm looking forward to is to visit schools I really want to go to and hopefully getting offered by them," Taylor said. “I'm looking for a place that I can call home. They don't necessarily have to be real good at football but just somewhere I like personally."

With the bulk of recruiting coming up in the next several months for Taylor, he's quite excited about one piece of the future.

"What I'm looking forward to the most are my official visits so I can go across the country and visit schools," Taylor said. “I will make my decision right before the season starts.”

In the meantime, Taylor is playing for the Top Gun 7-on-7 as a linebacker and receiver.
