BLUE ISLAND, Ill. – After a gut-wrenching overtime loss in a 4A sectional semifinal on Tuesday night against Homewood-Flossmoor, Bloom junior Martice Mitchell was devastated. The lanky forward had struggled with foul trouble, sat for basically the entire third quarter, and rarely touched the ball while finishing with 5 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks.
