Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei three-star defensive end Drew Faoliu received his fourth high-major offer from Illinois last week.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound prospect, who also holds offers from Arizona, Texas-San Antonio, and Utah State, was a bit surprised to hear the news.

“It feels great to have received a huge offer from a Big 10 school,” Faoliu said. “They’ve been talking with me for about a month, but I was a little caught off guard, because I never thought I would get an offer from them.”
