The Illini football staff has made an asserted recruiting effort in the Lone Star State recently, and that trend continued with a fresh offer to Arlington (Texas) Oakridge tight end Christoph Henle.

The 6-foot-4, 225-pound three-star prospect has been talking with Illinois for around two month now, and he was extremely grateful to finally get his first Power Five offer.

"It's a big time offer,” Henle said. “Obviously, getting your first P5 is always a big one, and that is a goal I have always had. I’ve had a good amount of contact with Illinois so far, so it was definitely nice to get that offer.”
