Stone Mountain (GA) Stephenson three-star cornerback Justin Birdsong originally made his commitment to Appalachian State back in early July.

However, roughly a month later and just prior to the start of his senior season, the 5-foot-11, 175-pound corner reversed course and decided it was in his best interest to reopen his recruitment.

“Honestly, I just felt like I maybe rushed my decision at the time,” Birdsong said. “I prayed about it and thought a lot about it, and I made the decision to open it back up and see what happens.”
