Highland Springs (Va.) junior wide-receiver Ali Jennings had an eventful Thursday afternoon.

Roughly an hour after receiving his first power five offer from West Virginia, Illinois offensive coordinator Rod Smith informed the 6-foot-2, 186-pound wideout that the Illini would also be extending an offer.

“I excited and feel blessed about it,” Jennings said. “It took me completely by surprise. I was in the middle of school and coach text me and told me to call him when I could, so I did and he told me the good news. I immediately started smiling.”
