Former Illinois State commit Chris Payton, a 2019 small forward from Bloomington (Ill.), recently announced that he was opening his recruitment back up.

Payton committed to the hometown Redbirds last August. Since reopening his recruitment, Payton is getting heavy interest from several high major programs.
