St. Louis (MO) Lutheran North sophomore defensive end Kevon Billingsley made the trip over to Champaign on Saturday to take in the Illinois junior day.

The 6-foot-5, 260-pound prospect joined numerous Illinois prospects in the 2019 and 2020 classes for an eventful day.

“First, we got together and Lovie Smith talked to us about the remodeling of the facilities coming up,” Billingsley said “And then after that, we talked about the academics of the school – what we need to get in and what they offer at the school.

"And then after that, we talked to our position coaches, so I got to go with Coach Clark and talk about the team’s goals and schemes. And then we went to eat, got to watch practice, and then did a photo-shoot with all the jerseys at the end.”
