OL Quinn Oseland checks in

3-star offensive tackle Quinn Oseland from Springfield (Ill.) Sacred Heart-Griffin is one of the most highly sought after recruits in the state of Illinois.
Oseland (6-foot-6, 307 pounds) is ranked the 17th best prospect in the state of Illinois. He is currently sitting at twenty D-I college football offers including Illinois, Arizona State, California, Oregon, Mississippi State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Louisville, Indiana, Kentucky, and others.

The Illini staff continues to be heavily involved with Oseland.
"Illinois is probably recruiting me harder than most of the schools right now," Oseland said. "I think it's because I know their coaches the best and the fact that I'm only an hour away from the school.
"Right now I have no idea who I would say is my leader, but I have a few that are pretty close. Right now I'm still open and just looking at the pros and cons of each school."
The junior has been very busy making sure he picks the right place to spend the next four years of his life, which is very important.
"I've visited Illinois, Northern Illinois, California, Indiana, Kansas, Vanderbilt, Iowa, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Missouri, Western Michigan, Iowa State and Miami," he said.
Being such a wanted student-athlete is a nice honor, but at the same time only one school will be standing in the end.
"I like the visits a lot and the time I get to spend with the team and the good people I have met," Oseland said. "The worst part of all this is I have to choose between all of the great options out there.
"At Illinois, Coach Ricker and Coach Beckman - they do a great job when it comes to recruiting. They are always on me but don't pressure me and I like that."
When the time comes to make the big decision for the lineman, it's not going to be all about football for him. It's obviously a big component, but other things will come into play.
"When I pick a school academics will be very important," Oseland said. "The relationships with the coaches and then the overall atmosphere and what the university is like."
