2016 offensive lineman Andrew Boselli from Jacksonville (Fla.) Providence School is enjoying great success so far during his junior season. The 6-foot-4, 307-pound prospect has helped lead his team to a 4-0 start and they have done some impressive work as an offensive unit.
"It is going really well so far," Boselli said. "We are undefeated and have the most rushing yards in North Florida, so that is something I am proud of for me and my team. I definitely think I personally have been playing very well so far. I am very happy with how everything has been going."
The three-star guard has been a major part of his team's success so far, helping lead an unstoppable run attack. Boselli, who was ranked the No. 7 offensive lineman in the Rivals250 Underclassmen Challenge, discussed some aspects of him game that set him apart from others.
"I think I run block very well, especially when I pull," Boselli said. "I also think my pass blocking is solid, although there is definitely some room for improvement, as with everything else. I would also s I have really quick feet and a very strong football IQ."
Maryland, Illinois, and Miami (Fla.) have offered Boselli so far. With many more programs continuing to evaluate him, Boselli believes he is bound to grab several more offers.
"Right now the schools recruiting me besides the ones that have offered are Alabama, Georgia, Colorado, USC, Virginia, Virginia Tech, UCF, and Tennessee," Boselli claimed. "I'm just continuing to do what I can and then more offers will come in."
Boselli has not been to Champaign and does not have a visit planned yet, but he "definitely" wants to make one at some point. He would like to attend a game if possible, that way he can get a better look at the game day environment.
"I always like to go to games so I can see what the environment is like," Boselli said. "So hopefully I can get to a game and check that out because it is important to me. I also want to see how the campus is because I'd like to go to a college with a beautiful campus."
Throughout the recruiting process, Illinois assistant coach Tim Salem has been the main recruiter on Boselli. They talk frequently and have been able to build a very solid, personal relationship.
"I have the opportunity to talk to Coach Salem about once a week or so," Boselli said. "He is a super nice guy and coach. I really like him."
The schedule will starts to ramp up for Boselli as he will be on two visits the next two weekends. After that, much is still up in the air besides a visit to Alabama.
"I am going to USC this upcoming weekend, I'm going up to Maryland one October 4, and then I will be heading to Bama for the Iron Bowl later this year," Boselli said. "I want to make other visits but I just don't know where they will be."
Boselli plans to make a decision before his senior season.
