Evanston (Ill.) sophomore running back recruit Quadre Nicholson (6-foot-0, 185 pounds) has been able to add his first two scholarship offers this spring including adding his first Big Ten offer from in-state University of Illinois. Nicholson discusses adding his latest offers and more here.
"I have offers from Illinois and Toledo," Nicholson said. "Illinois offered me a scholarship about three weeks ago and I just didn't make it known publicly. Toledo offered me a scholarship a few days ago."
Nicholson discussed his thoughts and impressions of adding his first two scholarship offers.
"Both Illinois and Toledo made in school visits and watched one of our team workouts. Illinois is a great school and it's not too far from home. My older sister is actually going to Illinois in the fall. I haven't been able to see Illinois in person just yet but I'll go down and visit this summer when we take my sister down to school. Toledo is another good school but I don't know much about them for now but I'm going to look into them more."
Nicholson, who's running track this spring for the Wildkits has also been drawing a steady amount of recruiting attention this spring.
"Besides Illinois and Toledo, we've had the coaches from Michigan State, Boston College, NIU, Western Michigan and Northwestern in school over the last few weeks. A lot of those schools want to see me at a camp this summer and they all seem to be pretty interested in me."
Nicholson also has some upcoming college camp plans.
"I'm looking at camping with Northwestern, NIU plus Illinois this summer."
