Just off an official visit, 2018 quarterback Matthew Robinson from from San Juan Capistrano (Calif.) Jserra Catholic committed to the Fighting Illinois.

Illinois offered Robinson on his visit this weekend, and it didn't take much time for him to accept the offer and pledge to Illinois.

The Illini wanted to add another quarterback to the 2018 class. There was a serious lack of depth at the position, with Cam Thomas the only scholarship quarterback participating in spring drills next month.

Robinson is the third commitment of day for Illinois, joining Texas defensive end Ezekiel Holmes and 3-star running back Kenyon Sims.
