Guedet discusses recent Illini offer
As the Illinois staff continues its push for a stronger in-state performance with the 2019 class, a handful of junior prospects from across the state have received offers the last few weeks.
One prospect to receive an offer was J.J. Guedet, a 6-foot-8, 255-pound offensive tackle from Washington (Ill.) High School.
“I grew up watching Illinois with my dad and grandpa,” Guedet said. “Both of them dreamed of going there. And meeting and taking with Coach Butkus has been great, and it was amazing when he came to school to offer me. An offer from a big school like that is still mind blowing. I have never even thought I was close to this level of talent, so it’s a big deal for me, my dad, and my grandpa.”
