Orange and Blue News hoops analyst Brad Sturdy takes a look at the sales pitches and teams involved with Edwardsville (Ill.) guard Mark Smith, and makes his prediction on where Smith will sign.

It’s been a whirlwind of visits for Illinois Mr. Basketball Mark Smith as the recruiting process runs its course.

Smith and his family have been to Michigan State, Kentucky, Illinois and Ohio State in the past few weeks in addition to in home visits with those schools as well as Missouri and Duke.

For Illini fans, it’s been an eternity as they await the decision of the No. 52 player in the Rivals150 for 2017.

Now, the announcement date and time is set.

On Wednesday evening at 6 pm CT, Smith will announce his college decision in front of friends, family and media members at Edwardsville High School.
