CB Love looking for more offers

2016 cornerback Julian Love from LaGrange Park (Ill.) Nazareth Academy holds an offer from Illinois, and is looking to pick up another Big Ten offer.
"Illinois is the only school that's offered me, but I really think Penn State will this weekend," Love said. "They invited me to see them play Ohio State."

Others showing interest include Cincinnati, Ohio State, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, NIU, and Northwestern. Love picked up his Illinois offer after attending a satellite camp at Maine South HS in Chicagoland.
The Illini offer was the first for the 5-foot-11, 165 pound Love, with the recruitment headed up by assistant Alex Golesh. Illinois is one of three schools that Love said are among the most active in recruiting him.
"I don't have a favorite, but I do like them along with Penn State, Northwestern, and Northern Illinois," Love said. "I matters that they offered me first
Love said he is keeping tabs on Illinois, and he hopes to make it down to Champaign for a game before the season is over.
"I watch (Illinois) play games from home anytime I can, but sometimes it can be hard because my team plays on Saturdays, which can make it tough for me to get to see all the game or to go to them," Love said. "I was at Illinois about a month ago to watch the practice, but I haven't been on the sidelines to a game yet.
Academics will play a big role in Love's ultimate college decision, which is a plus for Illinois.
"From a football standpoint, it could be a little better for them, but they're putting forth an honest effort out there," Love said. "I do love how good the academics are there because that's my main concern."
On the field, his team, Nazareth is currently 5-0 and rank No. 2 in the IHSA Class 6A poll. The
Roadrunners are coming off of a 56-17 win over Marian Catholic last Friday. Love plays both sides of the ball, lining up at receiver and running back on offense.
"We're doing very well, and I'm contributing a lot, so I believe more offers will start to come my way soon, I hope," Love. "I did have one interception and ran it back 93 yards."
