Illinois has been in contact with Frisco (Texas) Wakeland wide-receiver Tre Adams since the end of his junior season, and the staff finally pulled the trigger and offered the 6-foot-3, 190-pound wideout last week after an impressive camp.

“It was my first power five offer, so it was definitely a dream come true,” Adams said. “It was a long process, because Coach Stoker saw me multiple times in the spring before he was able to get me to a camp where the rest of the staff was able to be there. It wasn't until the camp that I balled out and all the coaches agreed to offer me, and I was extremely happy to have that happen.”
