USF landed their lone signee in the 2014 recruiting class in 6-foot-4 shooting guard Troy Holston. Holston chose the Bulls over Alabama, Kansas State, Miami, Marquette, and others.

Runningthebulls.com was at Holston's signing party to watch Holston sign with the local school.

"I'm excited," the Rivals150 guard said. "I just can't wait to just start and get there. I'm just so jittery right now - just excited. I'm really excited that I finally signed and got the deal done."

Holston committed to USF on August 7th, and kept a very strong commitment to the Bulls. Holston will major in Business Management .

"I've been looking forward to this for three months now. Ever since I committed I've just been waiting on this day."

"I didn't think this day would ever come. I've just been working my butt off to get to this day and now it's finally here. I can't wait to get there and get things started where I'm actually playing for the team. It's all a great experience. God has blessed me and I just can't wait."

Troy's mother Monique Greene is very happy that Holston found the best fit for him and his best interests.

"It was a long time coming," she explained. "I'm just so proud of him and so happy that he found the right fit with a great program and great coaches."

"He's so excited about going in and of course it's a huge benefit for him to stay home so that I can see his games," she laughed."

Mrs. Greene has a strong trust in Coach Heath and the Bulls' coaching staff to take care of her son for the next four years.

"I feel like I'm passing the mantle onto them. I think Coach Stan Heath will be phenomenal with Troy as a head coach. He has a great supporting coaching staff - we love them all. They're just phenomenal people. I think I had I might have had more fun than Troy did on the official visit!"

"We really feel like this is the best fit for him in so many aspects. It's a huge benefit for him to be twenty minutes from home."

Oldsmar Christian head coach Jordan Fair played his high school ball at Oldsmar Christian and played collegiate basketball at North Florida - and was a part of their 2008 recruiting class. Fair had high praise of Holston's skills and leadership.

"He's a very, very good shooter," Fair said. "He's developed a very consistent three-ball. His mid-range shooting is very good. I've had the opportunity and the pleasure to watch him work hard and develop that over the past two years."

Holston has been at Oldsmar Christian for two years now, and Fair says that his leadership skills have blossomed.

"He's gotten so much better than where he was before. He just kind of fit in, and now he's stepping up, being vocal to the guys, pulling them in the right direction, and trying to lead them. Not only vocally, but also by his play."

Isaiah Manderson signed alongside of Holston, as he will be attending Oregon State. Oldsmar Christian is already off to a 2-0 start, and is one of the best teams in the state.
