Fort Myers (Fla.) Dunbar wide receiver Ryeshene Bronson becomes the sixteenth verbal commitment to the USF 2014 class. He is the second receiver commit as well as the second Rivals four-star commit

Bronson joins Immokalee ATH Jimmy Bayes as a four-star verbal to the Bulls.

The commitment: Bronson first named USF as leader for his recruitment on June 9th, and the Bulls have been a leader ever since. He said this about USF to Southeast Recruiting Analyst Kynon Codrington, It's close to home and close to my mom. I talked to coach [Raymond] Woodie almost every night. He is like another father figure to me." Once committed to Florida, Bronson wanted to stay close to home all along. USF is a logical choice for proximity to home - couple that and the fact USF has been recruiting him hard since his decommitment from the Gators - and you have a happy relationship between school and player.

What it means for the class

USF has lost a ton of depth at wide receiver with player departures. Bronson has a good chance to play as a freshman. The 6-foot-3 Rivals.com 4-star is the second receiver commit along with Stanley Clerveaux. Bronson and Clerveaux are both big, physical receivers that will work well over the middle of the field. We expect USF to take one more receiver in this class - but it's for sure that Bronson was a must get with his potential.

Bringing in another four-star is big for the recruiting class - and it will continue to have people watching what Coach Taggart and the staff are doing on the recruiting front.

Analyst Reaction: Bronson is a freak athlete and there is no denying that. Great size, great speed, and a Bronson is a better route runner then I expected (saw him at Sling and Shoot). He definitely has a shot at early playing time his freshman year, but he will have to work on a few kinks in his game. Bronson doesn't have the most reliable hands - sometimes seemed to lose focus. As far as leaping ability and physical attributes - this guy is as good as they come. Ryeshene will be as good as the work he puts into perfecting his game. He has a very high ceiling.
