IMPACT ANALYSIS: Auburn adds speed, power at WR

AUBURN | The Tigers' effort to improve its offense hit a peak Sunday when four-star wideout D'haquille Williams of Mississippi Gulf Coast C.C. committed.

He's one of the top junior-college players available and committed to play for LSU earlier this summer before changing his mind. Williams also has offers from Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M and Florida State among others.

During his first season with MGCCC, Williams caught 67 passes for 1,295 yards and 17 touchdowns. He was named a junior college All-American for his effort.

Here's AuburnSports.com's Impact Analysis of Williams' commitment:

Auburn began pursuing Williams aggressively in December -- not long after Gus Malzahn and Rhett Lashlee were hired. He's an ideal blend of size (6-foot-3) and speed (clocked at 4.4 in the 40-yard dash) to give the Tigers a primary, go-to presence in the passing game.

There is an interesting backstory here.
