Carter ready to join Oregon hoops

The Oregon Ducks signed four players to their basketball class of 2012 including Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) standout power forward Ben Carter.

Duck Sports Authority caught up with the 6-foot-8, 230-pound athlete to get an update.

Duck Sports Authority: You were recently in the Ballislife All-American game. How did that go?

BC: It was a great game. It was a great weekend overall. I got to meet a lot of the guys I will be playing against next year in the Pac-12. I got to hang out with Dominic Artis who is going to be a fellow Duck so that was good. We were actually on the same team so it was good to get a little team chemistry together for the future.

DSA: How did your game fit together with Dominic Artis?

BC: It was hard developing on court chemistry because it was an All-Star game. Off the court we got to know each other better than we already did. It was a good weekend for us. The whole experience was great. We didn't end up playing a lot together because the coaches had different subs but it was a great event.
