At the beginning of McDonald's All-American game week festivities there were three undecided players in the game. As of Tuesday afternoon, only two remain.
"There was no bad decision here but with no further adieu I hope Tucson is celebrating," said Gordon. "I'm about to be a West Coast Wildcat."
A 6-foot-8 forward who currently ranks No. 6 nationally in the 2013 Rivals150, Gordon is a big-time pickup for a number of reasons.
"I no longer have to be asked the question of where I'm going to school so that's off my back now," said Gordon. "It comes with playing high-level basketball but now it's off to bigger and better things.
Sean Miller and the Wildcats have already put together a roster full of athletes. In Gordon, they get another versatile big who will be the best athlete on campus. He competes for rebounds, can score around the rim and in transition and is developing into a very good defender.
Despite being the youngest player in attendance during McDonald's festivities, Gordon has been a force during the first few days of practice. He's finished whenever and however he's wanted to at the rim and has been good off the dribble. If it is possible to be underranked at No. 6 in the country, Gordon could be considered somewhat underranked.
