Georgia WR pledges to UW
Tuesday evening, Wisconsin secured a commitment from Georgia wide receiver Krenwick Sanders, who hails from a state the Badgers have worked hard in the current class.
"It's a family-based program," Sanders told Rivals.com when asked about his pledge to Wisconsin. "It felt like home when I went there.
"They told me they wanted me to come in and play early, so I'll do whatever task they give me to help the team."
A 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect from Wayne County, Sanders visited officially earlier in the year with teammate Jeremy Patterson. He is the second receiver in UW's 2014 class.
"I tell you what, my hat is off to Wisconsin," Sanders' head coach, Jody Grooms, told BadgerBlitz.com on Tuesday night. "They recruited Krenwick better than anyone else. They talked to his mother, they talked to his father and they made everyone comfortable with their program.
"Krenwick talked to the staff yesterday (Monday) and again today. He knew Wisconsin was the best place for him and didn't feel like he needed to wait any longer."
