Greer is coming into his own

Although he's often been overshadowed by other highly touted recruits from the Windy City, Tyquone Greer is ready to enter the limelight.

The 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Chicago Orr is one of the rising prospects in the class of 2014, and he has the interest to prove it. With offers in hand from two Big East programs - DePaul and Providence - Greer is also hearing from the likes of Illinois, Baylor, Missouri, Notre Dame and several others.

Greer attributes his newfound recruiting interest to a training program that entails ball-handling drills, defensive workouts and 1,000 jump shots per day. He's confident only more schools will throw their names in the hat for his services soon.

"It's good to have schools offer you as a sophomore," Greer said. "I'm looking forward to more schools offering me."
